Members of the European Parliament, representatives of the European Commission and key stakeholders gathered at the European Parliament on December 1^st and 2^nd in order to present and discuss the top priorities and issues relating to innovation and knowledge in Europe. The discussion took place in the framework of the formal establishment of the Knowledge4Innovation (K4I) platform and the Lisbon Forum of the European Parliament. Several themes were identified for initial activities of the Lisbon Forum which will take place between January and April 2009 and after the summer break when the new Parliament will take office.
