The K4I initiative is designed as an open, independent platform, enabling the multiple stakeholders of the knowledge and innovation economy to meet and exchange viewpoints and insights. K4I is established as a non-for-profit organization under Belgian law (asbl) governed by its members.

K4I is unique because it engages the relevant actors and sectors with different backgrounds and expertise from the EU and beyond in a ‘Pact for Knowledge Innovation’ mobilizing know-how and resources and engaging in a structured, continuous policy dialogue with legislators in the framework of the Lisbon Forum of the European Parliament and among each other.

The K4I platform has been designed to help define a future innovation strategy for Europe including fundamental issues such as innovation culture, education and communication.
