Prior he held positions in grant management for industrial technologies, audit on frontier research projects or in the set up of externalised bodies for grant management, Food Safety or communicable disease prevention.
Before joining the EU Commission in 2000 Jochen worked in international postings for Henkel KGaA, Hoechst AG, Otto Group in treasury and corporate finance. He holds an MBA.
